Joshua 16–18 reveals the tension between receiving God’s promise and actually possessing it. Though the land is assigned and secured, some tribes settle for partial obedience while others delay entirely. The inheritance is not lacking—faithful action is. These chapters expose how easily God’s people can hesitate, compromise, or remain passive even when His provision is clear.
