DAY 89: Joshua 22–24
Joshua 22–24 brings the book to its covenantal climax, where God’s fulfilled promises now demand enduring faithfulness. The unity of the tribes is tested and preserved, Joshua warns of the danger of drifting after blessing, and the nation is called to renew its covenant at Shechem. These chapters reveal that the greatest threat to God’s people is not outside opposition but internal compromise after receiving His promises. They ultimately point to Christ, the greater Joshua, who not only brings His people into their inheritance but secures their faithfulness through a new covenant, transforming their hearts to serve the Lord without turning away.
