Welcome to Day 96 of the 100 Days of SHIFT Challenge!


This week, we’re at the last stretch of the 100 days challenge! Let’s cultivate a mindset where we run through the finish line, past the finish line. This means, we don’t slow down when we see the end is near. We keep up the pace, or maybe even pick it up, and celebrate in victory.


Today, I share some stories about what I learned in the sauna. In particular, the times in the sauna where I was with a client or training partner as they were cutting weight for a competition/fight coming up.


The sauna is a special place where distractions are gone and the athlete must be completely in their mental zone and find inner peace. The people around them must be intentionally selected because of the vulnerability of the state of being in the sauna mentally and emotionally. How one talks, thinks, goes through the suck, and sits through it all really all matters.
