The enemy of our souls is a master at using snares to trap the children of God. It is so easy for people to be set free from the penalty and enslavement of sin, only to be trapped and enslaved by the addictions of their soul. But what are these addictions, and how can we identify what it is that has us bound?

Paul warns Timothy about the perilous end times being an age with "a form of godliness but denying the power thereof" (2 Timothy 3:5) How can we hope to survive that kind of environment?

We will need strength that comes from beyond our own capabilities and capacities. We will need to be so tapped, so rooted, so connected to Jesus that we are living by grace! In this hour we must fix our attention more and more on what it means to abide as a branch in the vine of Jesus. This is the hour of all in. Being a Christian will not suffice; we must become true disciples of Jesus!

"Peace," it is quietness, rest for the soul, a ceasing of the disturbances that will lead us into what the psalmist called "cast down," or as we know it today, depressed, brought low, or simply just disturbed in our inner life. Jesus offers us, not just peace, but his peace! Now, what sort of peace does Jesus have? That's the topic of today's Daybreak Devotion!

What started out as a simple shout out to a monumental day in US history turned into a great discussion on purpose, diligence, and calling. Without a clear view of the mission we have, how can we ever hope to take a stand for anything? That's the scope of today's Daybreak Devotion!
