In this meditation, listen for words of encouragement - that your joy may be full, that your love may be full. Often Jesus talked of us being full and complete when we're 'in' Him and with Him. Might we trust that this is true? that we indeed have wholeness now because we are with Him?

Today’s meditation is based on selected verses from Proverbs 4. If we remembered nothing else from the Bible, the words we will speak from Proverbs chapter 4, might well be some of the most important that we ever hear. We are to fill our thoughts with God’s words, taking time to unwrap them so they ‘impart true life and radiant health into the very core’ of our being. If we guard our hearts, paying attention to our inner selves, life will flow out of us. With plenty of hope and wise council, we are invited to take these words as truth. They will save us from a seared and hardened heart that cares not for our future or even ourselves.

God loves songs of joy--songs of victory, songs of triumph, songs inspired by His very presence and power and seeing His wonders. God desires good for His children. He wants to fill the whole universe, all His creation with good, with joy and gladness, with peace and victory, with love and life. This is God's joy. You are God's joy. He wants to give you a new song. Let Him replace your worries, your fears, your cares with a new song today. What songs are you singing to praise Him and rejoice in the life that He has given you?

Today’s meditation is based on selected verses from Proverbs 4. Through the haze of today’s standards, we choose every day to live with integrity. To not compromise. To listen intently to the voice of wisdom. Not reason. It is only through wisdom that we can finish the race before us, holding to our deep, unspoken dream of finishing well. We get up when we stumble for the revelation of life’s meaning is only found in the heart of God. Wisdom calls to us to follow and learn well.

Today’s meditation is based on selected verses from Proverbs 2. There are many places in the Bible where God promises to instruct us and teach us in the way we should go (Ps. 32:8). This second chapter of Proverbs is a clear passage of purpose for anyone wishes to know what to do to live well. Verses 3-5 gives us permission to ‘train your heart to listen’ and to ‘cry out for comprehension’. Enter with me now into a time of listening. Listen as God whispers instruction, guidance and hope into your heart. You will, dear friend, find what you are looking for.

How easily we identify ourselves by the roles we fill - mother, father, teacher, doctor, athlete, and so on. We easily speak of what we do. How easily can we speak of who we are? Have we looked in the mirror, and held our reflection long enough to see, really see who is there? Take a few extra seconds to look at yourself in the mirror and ask God to show you who He sees.

Hope is a lifeline for our soul. Hope is the confident assurance, the expectancy of good coming when we’ve not yet seen it. Hope lays deep within us, keeping us from despair and looking for change, for a new day, for break in the clouds. Proverbs nails it – to walk in wisdom and discover our purpose – this gives us a living hope which guides our steps through life. As you listen today, see if the hope within you is sparked to life by these words of wisdom.

God’s anger is always directed toward that which robs us of living in the life and blessing of God. What makes us angry is very telling. Anger can come from a frustration in our lives when we are not dealing with something that needs to be taken care of. What makes you angry? Why does it make you angry?
When there are things in our lives that need correction, it's always good to take care of them right away. Let God work in your heart to go to the very root of the anger and heal what needs healing. Then we can, instead of living in and being motivated by anger, live in the peace of God and be motivated by His love.

We look at the universe and wonder how was this done?! Was there a plan? How might we see it or even understand it? We explore space and examine the creation and death of stars. In Psalms we read God spoke and worlds were created. His words created and break kingdoms. His power and His love are seen in His words.
