– 1 Samuel 1 – The story of Elkannah and Hannah relates how an infertile couple wrestled with their childlessness and how God ultimately answered their prayer with a baby boy. While this story has brought comfort and encouragement to other couples wrestling with those same issues, it is really about how God worked in the lives of this couple to bring Samuel into the world, who would grow up to be a godly servant-leader to turn the nation of Israel around spiritually.
