Just thinking about a sermon on this subject can give a person heartburn. Yet, God disciplines His children because He loves us. The church at Corinth had a difficult issue to deal with, but when exercised lovingly and positively, church discipline can result in restoration and Gods glory.

1 Corinthians 4:6-21

At the root of all our problems and sin-struggles is our Big Fat Ego. Consequently, the best thing for our Christian walk is Humility. Sometimes, God has to slap us out of our pride, which is what He does in this section of the letter to the church at Corinth.
