Have you ever met the risen Jesus? Fr. Joseph Kindel offers a simple reflection on the importance of recognizing the risen Christ in our every day lives.

On this wonderful reflection on the 3rd Sunday of Easter, Fr. Deepak D'Souza relates Christ's conversation w/ Peter on the seashore to the call of every man. He says: "He has come to make us fishers of men, and he is asking each of us that very same question: Do you love me? And what will be our answer? Are we ready to tend the sheep? to be more joyful? to be more happy? to give Christ to each other?"

What is the essence of mercy? How do we move from doubt to faith? Fr. Tony Cutcher contemplates these things on Divine Mercy Sunday. He says: "Mercy is that act of love given to someone who really doesn't deserve it...and from Jesus it is Divine Mercy that he forgives all of us, even in our unbelief..."

Reflecting on the image of the crucified Christ and the significance of the cross, Deacon Bob Gutendorf shares beautiful thoughts on trust, faith, and forgiveness. He says: "The image of the pierced side of Christ pouring out blood and water reminds us that the cross is the price of mercy and that, in our Lord's death, he shows us the depth of his love for us."

In this beautiful reflection on the Triduum, Fr. Tony Cutcher considers the profound act that links our ancient liturgy with Easter. He says: "Today, we celebrate the fact that we can look back through history and see and re-enact and make present again, for the first time, the act that Jesus gave us to remember him by: the Eucharist."

Reflecting on the resurrection of Christ, Fr. Deepak D'Souza distinguishes between buildings and bodies, between churches and temples and the people who worship in them. He says of the Church: "It's more than the building: it is the faith of the people, of each one of you that is here and attending this service that counts much more than the ordinary buildings."

The Easter Vigil is truly a unique and beautiful celebration, an ancient liturgy whose rituals and words are full of poetry and meaning. As Fr. Tony Cutcher says: "It's faith in something that we cannot see, taste, touch, or measure that causes us to be here tonight...to celebrate that he is risen, to look through our Resurrection glasses and see that it's not the end of the story..."

As he reflects on the suffering and death that Christ endured on Good Friday, Fr. Tony Cutcher considers the significance of the cross, off all that it implies for Christians. He says: "The Church has received the mandate from its founder to stand with the poor and the weak, to be the voice for those who have no voice..."

Sometimes it's hard to see the "good" amid the grief, tragedy, and violence of Good Friday. But reflecting on the love that inspires and springs forth from self-sacrifice, Fr. Deepak D'Souza sees the good: "That cup we raise every Mass overflows with his love. It brings joy to us."
