DC Detectives Podcast

A change of plans has Matthew and John returning to Flash content with Jay Garrick. While they're not surprised by what they find, they are able to find some deeper understanding in the content, and laugh a little more than they did at first. One thing's for sure, there's no shortage of bizarre plots for the pair to cover where the Flash is concerned.

Matthew and John are taken aback at the strange and unnerving look at Hawkman and Hawkgirl's first appearances in Flash Comics. These Golden Age versions are as crass and crude with each other as their stories are boring and weak. How could two reincarnated lovers be so, so wrong for each other, and for fans familiar with them?

John and Matthew struggle to keep up with the Scarlet Speedster as they follow him through some of the first stories of Jay Garrick's life. Gardner Fox stories and peculiar displays of power litter the pages of this volume. Does Jay compare to his television and contemporary counterparts? Or will he be a little too slow to entertain in his old age?

Matthew and John go on a high seas adventure with Green Lantern and Doiby Dickles after a little horse racing. Can they keep up with the pair as they fight racketeers and Nazis from the US to Sargasso? In between those harrowing feats of heroism, there are orphans to feed and wrongly accused people to clear of charges. Nothing out of the ordinary for the DC Detectives.
