The epic Arrowverse crossover begins tonight on The CW with Supergirl and Arrow before finishing tomorrow on The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. We preview what we expect to see from the DC TV event and what we hope to see.

First time as a 4-show crossover

Schedule - Supergirl and Arrow tonight, starting at 8, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, tomorrow at 8

What do you need to know? Is it a standalone?Weapon Extended Trailer - (The CW on YouTube)

Introduction of Russell Tovey/The Ray, before Freedom Fighters: The Ray animated series

Earth-X - Nazis won World War II, evil versions of Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and others

Arrow/Legends EP Marc Guggenheim (IGN) - more personal than “Invasion!” with big life events

"We're really approaching this big four-part event as two back-to-back two hour movies, and I think when you look at it through that lens, it becomes less important for the Supergirl episode to feel like a Supergirl episode and the Arrow episode to feel like an Arrow episode, which was always our approach in the past."

Will we go to Earth-X or stay on primary Earth?

The much-anticipated first issue of Doomsday Clock has been released and we are here to talk about everything we liked in the issue.

Written by Geoff Johns, art by Gary Frank

Feels just like Watchmen

Story

First 6 pages we already saw, setting up with Rorschach reveal at end; quick recap of the events of Watchmen

Rorschach turning the key while the keys turn to launch the warheads is perfect Watchmen Style

Rorschach rescues Erika Manson (The Marionette), proves he’s a different person. Gets her to come with him and “find God, save world” by promising to help her find her boy. She wants her husband to come to, Marcos Maez (The Mime)

The Mime is pretty awesome (going to get “weapons”)

In the tunnel, panel with Rorschach in front of fork looks like Nite Owl, and then we get to his place and Ozymandias is there, Rorschach is working for him.

Ozymandias has cancer, and it’s spreading.

Their mission is to find Dr. Manhattan

We cut to Clark, has nightmare about his parents dying, he’s never had a nightmare before.

Rorschach is counting down the whole time (about 3.5 hours?). Counting down to what?

Dedicated to Len Wein

On today's podcast, we talk some Justice League news, plus iZombie, and more.

Justice League

Twitter - First full week finishes at $130.8 million, likely to finish behind Coco this weekend

Holt McCallany interview with Men’s Fitness - “I love Joss Whedon. My scene with Batman was originally conceived as a comedic scene. That’s how Joss wrote it, and that’s how we shot it. I thought it came out great, but the studio felt it would be a mistake to open the film with a completely comedic scene, so it was re-edited a little bit. I was disappointed, but when I got home to New York I found a bottle of my favorite Champagne and a note from Joss that said ‘To Battles Lost. Gratefully, Joss.’ I can’t tell you how much it meant to me that he took the time to write to me. Joss Whedon is a class act. I had the letter framed.”

Izabela Vidovic will have a role on Season 4 of iZombie - interview with Monsters and Critics

Played young Kara this season on Supergirl, also had a role in Wonder

“Well, my character’s name is Isobel and I unfortunately can’t really reveal too much because it’s going to ruin the whole storyline. It’s a tricky character, however I’m very excited to be a part of it. You’re going to see her with Rose and with Ravi a lot but I can’t say to what capacity”

Twitter question from @JRBatman23 - “thoughts on the article?? ”
