Supergirl is the next film in the relatively young DCU. This Kara Zor-El is very different than any other version of the character, and it’s safe to say it is going to be a wild ride. The world of He-Man and Eternia is not one that as many people will be familiar with as Transformers or even G.I Joe. The last film adaptation was released all the way back in 1987, when the property was at the height of its powers. The newer animated series had a very mixed reception among fans of the original cartoon, but was very well received by newer fans. But when their road trip through space is interrupted by an old friend of Clark’s, the family gets diverted to a strange and beautiful planet with a dark secret that only Superman can save them from. Kara’s plans get pushed aside. Again. What’s a cranky preteen to do? Hang out at the pool, meet a cute boy, and save the day, of course!

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse blew moviegoers away with its originality as well as its meaningful exploration of what it means to be Spider-Man and that it could be anyone behind the mask. The introduction of Miles Morales to the theatre-going public couldn’t have gone better. Still, the supporting characters often stole the spotlight, one of those being Spider-Man Noir, portrayed brilliantly by Nicolas Cage. Cage returns to the Spider-Noir role with his own series, and anticipation was very high. Listen to this week’s episode to find out if the series swung Spider-Man to new heights.
