I'm Wilfred Rodríguez, a seven-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, and based in Washington, DC. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production from the Art Institute of Washington, where I received the Academic Excellence in Filmmaking Award. I began my professional career producing commercials and promotional content for Univision Washington, DC, where I also worked as a cinematographer and editor on documentaries and news packages. My narrative work includes writing and directing the short films An Evil Mind (2016), Rock Creek (2019), and A Night in December (2021), as well as directing the music video PepperCola (2021) for the Maryland based band The FATO Company. In 2020, I directed the Vote No campaign for Puerto Rico's general election in collaboration with BUDPR. I'm currently developing multiple narrative projects, including When We Were Young, an LGBTQ coming-of-age drama, and Old Colchester Bridge, a feature inspired by the Fairfax County Bunny man legend.
