DCTF Live Podcast | Dave Campbell's Texas Football

We are just a few days away from the action in College Station, and we're busy getting ready around the DCTF headquarters for the big weekend. We run through Matt Stepp's primer for fans, and share a few other notes as we prepare.

We released our preseason Top 10 rankings earlier this month, so who outside those rankings could win a state title this year? We take a closer look. Plus, it's time for the Friday mailbag!

Matt Stepp has been traversing the state talking to coaches at 7-on-7 state qualifying tournaments, and snagged a few minutes with two CenTex bosses. Then, we kick off the offseason weekend early with a debate about guilty pleasure cereals.

Greg Powers of Next Level Athlete joins us to talk about St. Pius X WR/DB Seth Jones, Highland Park QB Chandler Morris, Denton Ryan ATH Billy Bowman Jr., and Tomball WR Demond Demas. Then, Matt Stepp has been traversing the Lone Star state to catch 7-on-7 qualifying tournaments, and also chat with some of the state's best coaches, including the new man at Terrell and the legend out at Abilene Wylie.

Matt Stepp caught up with some big-name head coaches at the Tyler 7-on-7 state qualifying tournament, and Tepper breaks down the six-man and private school ranks in this summer's magazine, plus our early Top 10 rankings.

We pulled back the curtain a bit on our 2A section in this summer's Dave Campbell's Texas Football, including revealing our 2A rankings, and before that, we hit This Week in Recruiting with Next Level Athlete's Greg Powers.

The guys take a closer look at what you'll find in the 3A preview of this summer's Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine, reveal DCTF's Top 10s in both divisions, and then continue a debate that swept the internet.

Before we got to our Friday viewer and listener questions, we talked a little about Godzilla (sorry), and then gave a glimpse into this year's 4A preview, including unveiling our Top 10 rankings for both divisions.

Matt Stepp was out at the Lexington 7-on-7 state qualifying tournament and caught up with a couple head coaches, and before that, we break down our 5A preview in this summer's magazine, including our preseason Top 10s.

Greg Powers of Next Level Athlete is here to talk about some of the biggest recruiting news in the state, and we go deep on what you can expect to see in this year's 6A section of Dave Campbell's Texas football magazine.
