Murder on the Arctic Sea
Detective Dylan Scott thinks cruising well above the Arctic Circle in November is nothing short of madness. He has zero interest in seeing the elusive aurora borealis but agrees to the Norwegian holiday to keep his wife and mother happy. At least the biggest problem he'll have to deal with is boredom. But that boredom quickly dissipates when the unpleasant elderly woman in the neighboring cabin is found dead.
Everyone thinks Hanna Larsen had a heart attack. Everyone except Dylan. Dylan is convinced there's a killer aboard the Midnight Sun - a killer who may strike again.

Explore the Mystery
This mystery novella lures readers into an adventure. We can muddle through the radiating puzzle guided by the shadowy finger that beckons us toward the unknown.
Shirley Wells is a dedicated word spinner who weaves a vast, complicated, golden web. She acknowledges that she could be "content to dream her life away." This is a reflection from the aura that surrounds most accomplished story tellers.
Dylan Scott relinquished his love of sunny beaches, giving in to his wife's desire to view the aurora borealis. The Midnight Sun cruise carried them high above the Artic Circle. Hanna Larsen, an obnoxious woman, died on the cruise, under supicious circumstances. Sights seen by the eyes of the dead might still reveal their secrets through clawlike fingers that desperately dig for life. The cloying stench of death sits on the shoulders, and follows the footsteps, of the murderer.
Dylan Scott questioned witnesses, but those feeling inadequate wouldn't confirm his hunches. It only made them more irritable.
The ways of killing someone could be endless in the murderer's active mind. He'd killed before. But, a pillowcase over the head was sufficient this time. Had he made a mistake? Ruby Jackson was wealthy. Hanna Larsen was not. Intrique lies frosted, then becomes frozen upon our minds. Enjoy this novella. Look for more by Shirley Wells.
Great escape reading.
This book, and the others by this author, are a little different than the normal romantic mystery, in that the hero is a male who is already married with children, but quite entertaining and well worth purchasing.
Loved it!
Loved it!! I especially liked that they were on a cruise. It reminded me how much I enjoyed my cruise. The storyline was great. I could not put the book down.
Great read!
I recently came across Shirley Wells after a friend recommended her Dylan Scott mystery novels to me. I was blown away. Very entertaining read, and I am saying that as someone who isn't a big mystery novel fan. Except for Sherlock Holmes of course.
A FUN READ
THIS IS THE 3RD BOOK I HAVE READ IN THIS SERIES. I ENJOY ENGLISH MYSTERY STORIES. THE STORIES ALWAYS HAVE A TWIST. THE CHARACTERS IN THE STORY SEEM VERY REAL. I PLAN TO READ ALL THE BOOKS IN THE DYLAN SCOTT MYSTERY SERIES.
