Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing diabetes. Contending that type 1 diabetes is due the mother missing nutrients during gestation. Asserting that type 2 diabetes due the body becoming insulin resistant. Stating this form can be prevented and even reversed through lifestyle changes and nutrional supplementation.
Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a Canadien study. Researchers found that people working 49 hours or more a week have a 66% increased risk of developing high blood pressure. The study of 3500 people and followed for five years also found that working just 41 hours a week had an increased risk of high blood pressure. The researchers did account factors such as age, gender, education, occupation, smoking status, BMI, job stress and other variables.
