In this episode of DeadBall TV, we take things down south to discuss Boca Juniors winning their 35th thanks to a hilariously ironic late-winner from arch-rival River Plate. That also happened to be the last game for River under legendary manager Marcelo Gallardo, a man who, much to Connor’s chagrin, will likely haunt Boca fans for the next century at least.
With eyes set on Europe, where will Marcelo Gallardo end up? He was previously linked to Barcelona, but the lads don’t think that would be the best move… for now.

Keeping it in Argentina we move on to Ricardo Gareca, the ex-Peru manager likely enjoying retirement by cooking an asado in his villa in the Argentine countryside. But will his retirement last? And could he somehow end up managing the USMNT?!?

Finally, Son Heung Min appears to have run out of patience with Tottenham Hotspur. His eyes now look upon the warm city of Madrid, where the promise of silverware and eternal glory awaits. Will he be the latest Spurs star to leave the club and enjoy greatness? Or will he display the ultimate loyalty and stay in North London?

Argentina & Ecuador September Friendlies Preview & An Embarrassing Day For European Football

In this episode of DeadBall TV, we had a wonderful episode planned full of sunshine & roses while talking about the Argentina and Ecuador national teams. Instead, we had to do a 20-minute intro discussing the racist even that happened outside the Atletico Madrid stadium before the Madrid Derby. An absolutely embarrassing day for Atleti, Spain, and European football as a whole. 

After that cathartic episode, we get back to your regularly scheduled program and take a deep dive into the squad call-ups for Argentina and Ecuador. Were there any massive player omissions? Has Scaloneta lost the plot? Ecuador to win the World Cup? Really I'm just trying to see if anyone actually reads these descriptions.
