Love for Rick??

Trish Rocha is getting out of jail.

Trish and Rick have a relationship. Oh its was a letters and one visit a month relationship but hey, any port in a storm.

Trish comes to work for Rick and Lo. Hell. Trish moves into Ricks house and right on into his bed. Something Rick had no problem with.

Lo really likes Trish, a more than capable Trish, but warns her that if she hurts Rick, she's oh so dead. No problem. Trish is in love and would never hurt Rick. She also thinks Lo and Rick are the two most interesting fossils she's ever met.

Rick, much to his amazment finds himself loving Trish as well. This, of course, scares the hell out of Rick. He will just have to wait and see where it goes. Next book perhaps??

This was one rollercoaster of a ride.

We have FBI Agents, one who turns out to be a traitor, a drug cartel full of idiots and and old Mossad connection. A connection that almosts costs Rick his life.

Of course Lo was there to save the day. Those she was saving the day against didn't make it. Oh well. Hell hath no fury like a woman who's as good a shot as Lo is. A Lo who would kill anyone who threatened Rick.

This one is full of friends, enemies, drug cartel killers, old aquaintences and Rick and Lo in a fight for their lives.

We also get the FBI and Homeland Security finally catching a clue about some of the things Rick and Lo have been involved in. Oh cartel bodies all over the place may have had something do to with that.

The FBI and HS want to recruit a very untrusting Rick and Lo. A Rick and Lo who are taking out bad guys left and right and aren't concerned about the "rights" of those bad guys.

Rick and Lo also know just how far they can trust any Govt agency.

Of course you know who the winners are. Five Stars and then some. Rick, Lo and the gang rock big time. Hoping for number three before long..

Bernard Lee DeLeo does it again. This second installment in the Rick Cantelli, P.I. series is just awesome. I love as always the ways that he writes his character's interactions, and I think adding Trish to the mix was just the cherry on top of an already wonderful group of people. The quips and one liners never seemed to stop, and the action kept the story moving at a fast pace that never seemed to want to let you take a breath.
