Is Jesus history?

Not in the outdated, forgotten, dead and buried kind of sense, but in the sense that in real life, in real human history, Jesus really did live and die and even rise again from the dead, as the Gospel accounts record.

Clearly this is an important question.

If not and the whole Christian faith falls to the ground like some pathetic deck of cards.

But if instead he is then surely that changes everything. Jesus can no longer be dismissed to the too-much-doubt-to-be-bothered-with-basket, a mere figment of faith and religious reconstruction. Instead surely everyone owes to themselves, especially given the nature of his claims, to seriously and carefully consider him.

And so we ask again: is Jesus history?

In any sphere of life failure to understand the times you live in can have embarrassing, even awful consequences. And no where is that more true or more important than right now, with Jesus.
