Our first talk of 2019 at weekly gathering at Cross cultures. This year we're looking at the book of Isaiah.

What does God think of God's will?

Jesus was a remarkable man. As he travelled, physical healing of people seemed to follow him wherever he went.

But was his main mission simply to physically heal people..

Or drive out demons?

Or was there something more - a greater problem?

What do you long for?

Finally, we get to hear God's own response to suffering.

It's good news... but what good news is good enough for us in the face of suffering?

When we go through times of intense suffering, it can feel really purposeless and we can feel really lost. This week we ask the question, 'Where can we go for answers in suffering?' And chapter 28 of Job is where we'll go to consider an answer to this question.

Following the briefest of battles, Satan is finally defeated and thrown into the lake of fire in this penultimate section of Revelation. Evil is no more! And it's worth celebrating. Listen to hear more about how evil comes to an end.

The Bible is real about suffering. It doesn't ignore it and it doesn't give easy answers. This week we ask the question, 'How does God treat his friends?' In the book of Job, Job's friend Bildad is very confident about how he would answer this question, but we learn that he's really really off the mark.

We're now up to the seven bowls of God's wrath in Revelation chapters 15 and 16... As we've journeyed through the book of Revelation, the final judgement scene shaping the book has been painted in greater and greater colour and detail as enormous hailstones crash down and hard hearts shake their fists at their judge.
