Dealing Seconds: The Podcast

So Cardistry Con happened over the weekend and unfortunately we couldn't be there but we wanted to talk about some of the highlights from it.  We also talked about some current Kickstarter campaigns and our thoughts and feelings about them as well as some non-card related campaigns as well.

On this episode we welcome John as the newest member to the Cards and Beards Crew.

We also have an amazing guest and cutter of cards on this episode, Rich aka Intricuts.

We chat about the community as a whole as well as how and why both Rich and John got into cutting and what it's like in the cutting community.

On this episode and we talk about how we feel the Card Community is right now and what the state of the community looks like. Everything we say is our own opinion and would like to hear your opinions as well in the comments below.

We have a special guest for this episode of Dealing Seconds. We were honored to have Stephen O'Neill of Beyond Playing Cards on this episode. Stephen is an awesome guy can creator of the Beyond Deck as well as the Chillies Decks, two successful kickstarter campaigns. On this episode we are just chatting about what is new in the community and some things that have just dropped.  We talk about Patreon and why we think it's good for some creators to be on it and why others shouldn't be, along with the benefits of being a Patron. We also talk about some releases that recently happened, The Gold Foil Star Wars edition by Theory 11 as well as the Fontaine Fantasies. 

This week we talk about some of the new Kickstarter campaigns that recently launched. We go over some of the things we like and some of the things we dislike. 

On this episode of the Dealing Seconds Podcast we have a very special guest, Mr. SoCal Playing Cards himself Henry Cortez. We had an awesome time talking about everything from the shop, to life, and to how everyone in the community always refers to his wife as Mrs. Cortez. It was an honor having him on the podcast and can't wait to talk with him again soon.

On this episode we talk about those hard topics that everyone in the community is thinking about but no one ever wants to talk about. It's an episode of some not so positive topics but something we felt was necessary to talk about and bring to light.

On this episode of the Dealing Seconds Podcast, we talk about Kickstarter and the many recent campaigns that went live. We talk about what we like, dislike, and what we think could have been done better with certain campaigns. We also say this is our own opinions and honestly if there is a campaign we mentioned that you like and we aren't very fond of let us know. You should pledge and back any Kickstarter campaign you want. That is the beauty of this community being so diverse.

Today we had a great guest jump on an episode with us. Tyler Hergott aka @producertyler (on instagram) is an awesome guy with a passion for cards as well as editing. We talked about everything from cards to personal life. Can't wait to have him on a future episode.
