Stop Fighting Yourself
On Sensitivity, Acceptance, and Loving Responsibility
Babygurl, have you ever wished you came with a different operating system? Maybe one that doesn't absorb everyone else's stress, needs less alone time, and actually enjoys being in a room full of people?
Same, girl. SAME.
Here's the thing. I've gotten pretty good at not losing my mind in traffic. (Thank you, Eckhart Tolle!) But accepting my own sensitive, empathic nature? Apparently, that's still a work in progress.
In this episode, an unexpected traffic detour, an anxious kiddo, and one very tired mama lead to an inconvenient little revelation: I've learned to stop fighting traffic, but I'm still fighting parts of myself.
We're talking about the energy we waste wishing we were wired differently, why we treat rest like a prize at the end of a very long obstacle course, and the difference between knowing ourselves and actually giving ourselves the care we need.
Because, Babygurl, self-awareness is cute, but are we actually listening to ourselves?
Come sit with me. We're unpacking what it means to stop treating ourselves like a self-improvement project and start being in a loving relationship with the person we already are.
And maybe, just maybe, give ourselves permission to leave the party early.
Or skip it altogether. 😉
Our boys are growing up. Their bodies are changing, their worlds are expanding, and increasingly, they’re entering rooms their moms won’t be in.
In this episode, I’m thinking about what it means to raise boys in a culture that still teaches them so much about who they’re supposed to be. From smelly middle-school armpits and video-game negotiations to masculinity, belonging, consent, the manosphere, and the courage to interrupt harm.
Because I don’t just want to raise boys who won’t hurt women. That bar is too low. I want to raise boys who will speak up when other boys and men do.
We can’t control who our children become. But we can help them build something inside themselves that they can carry into the rooms we won’t be in.
A tender one about raising boys, letting go, and hoping the values we practice around the dinner table travel with them into the world.
Content note: This episode discusses sexual assault and violence against women without graphic detail.
What if your knowing has been speaking to you all along, and the work isn’t to make it louder, but to learn its language?
Fresh off my 49th birthday, a beautiful facilitation experience, a new professional chapter, and a perfectly timed Wheel of Fortune card, I’ve been thinking about the breadcrumbs our bodies give us. Not just the ones that warn us when something feels off, but the ones that whisper, this way.
A shiver. Warmth moving through your body. A burst of energy. A sense of expansion. Or maybe, surprisingly, calm.
In this episode, I’m exploring nervous system regulation, intuition, energetic and ancestral resourcing, and what it means to become more fluent in the ways we already know.
Come listen, babygurl. And maybe get curious about the language of your own knowing. What does a yes feel like in your body?
What if you didn’t need a five-year plan? What if you just needed… a breadcrumb?
In this episode, I’m talking about our urge to turn every curiosity into a decision, a degree, a career pivot, or some other Very Important Life Choice™.
What if curiosity could just be curiosity? What if you wandered a little, followed what lights you up, and let the next thing reveal itself?
Less pressure. More play. Breadcrumbs before blueprints.
Come listen, follow a breadcrumb or two, and see where they take you. 🍞✨
You’re allowed to be annoyed. At your kids. Your coworkers. Your partner. The people you love deeply.
Emotional maturity isn’t about never having messy feelings. It’s about making room for what’s actually here, and choosing what you want to do with it.
In this episode, we talk irritation, nervous system regulation, why not everyone needs access to the first draft of your feelings, and the unexpected tenderness of a day that reminded me: grief and joy, love and disappointment, celebration and sadness can all exist at the same time.
Sometimes you need a boundary. Sometimes you need a conversation. And sometimes… you need a piece of chocolate.

Linger Over the Flowers
The Fantasy of More Time
We live as if we'll all make it to our late eighties or nineties, surrounded by loved ones, with plenty of time left to say "I love you," "thank you," and "goodbye." But the truth is, none of us knows how much time we have.
In this deeply personal episode, I reflect on marriage, estrangement, aging parents, grief, and the quiet beauty of an ordinary summer morning. I explore the invisible losses we carry, the price some people pay for authenticity, and the question death asks all of us: How do you want to live?
If we can't choose when or how we'll die, perhaps we can choose something else: to linger over the flowers, to tell people we love them while they're still here, and to become fully ourselves before "someday" slips away.

How often are you reacting to what's happening today... and how often are you reacting to something much older?
In this episode, I explore three powerful distinctions that can change the way you relate to yourself: the difference between facts and stories, processing and rumination, and embarrassment and shame. Together, they reveal how our minds create meaning, how old beliefs shape our reactions, and how curiosity can help us find our way back to ourselves.

What if peace begins the moment we stop arguing with reality?
In this episode, I explore the quiet but transformative practice of accepting what is. Not because we approve of every circumstance or stop working for change, but because resisting reality often keeps us stuck. We talk about the difference between acceptance and resignation, how our nervous system responds when we stop fighting what already is, and why acceptance can become the very place from which wise action begins.

This week, I'm reflecting on the bittersweet beauty of endings and the uncertainty of new beginnings. From my youngest son's elementary school graduation, to relationships that have reached their natural conclusion, to the ways life continually asks us to let go and begin again.
This episode is an invitation to honor the chapters that are complete and trust what comes next.

On growth, consistency, courage, and becoming
This month marks several anniversaries for me:
Most meaningful things begin as seeds. Quiet things. Tender things.
Things that don’t yet look impressive on the outside. This episode is for anyone:
Babygurl…sometimes the life you’re building is growing roots long before you can see the bloom.
