Recently, we (Jules and Mia) made a change to the Dear Bestie Show. We decided to focus on the podcast side of things. So, Julia packed up her microphone and we said goodbye to our dear friends at KAKU. We had a mountain of decisions ahead of us. We had to think about how and when to podcast (especially difficult with an ocean between us) and who would take on which responsibilities. It hasn't always been smooth sailing, but we are in it together. And that got us thinking... Every friendship faces transitions, both big and small. How many friendships fall apart during a transition simply because neither person knows what to do, or how to make it last? Tune in to this particularly friend-y episode for some laughs, some learns, and some joy.

Jules talks about lying to a friend about something small that turned into a big deal and Mia shares how talking about your friend in front of your kids is a really bad idea.

Raise your hand if you've been the unfortunate recipient of unsolicited advice! In this episode, we're asking who tends to give the most advice, why they do it and what you can do to stop receiving it. We also read YOUR best, worst, and best-worst pieces of advice. Some of them were sweet, some were absurd, some were barely legal, and they were all fantastic.
In honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Month, we're talking about friendship through transition-- particularly through loss. Julia shares about the way pregnancies and miscarriages changed her life, what her friends did that helped carry her through periods of grief, and what NOT to say to someone who is suffering. We give practical tips for how to recognize transition as it's happening and how to keep a solid friendship through it all.
