  • Ep 70: When Obedience Doesn't Come with Instructions

Sometimes God will tell you what to leave before He tells you where you’re going. When I left my former church last December, I knew God was leading me out of that season, but I had no idea what came next. I didn’t have another church lined up, and for a while, I struggled with feeling like I didn’t belong anywhere. But looking back over these past nine months, I can see how God was caring for me, creating community, and making room for me even when I couldn’t see what He was building. In this episode of Dear Christian Black Girl, we’re talking about obedience when you don’t have all the instructions, trusting God through uncertain seasons, and learning not to confuse transition with abandonment. You may not know what’s next, but the Father hasn’t lost track of you. 🖤

  • Ep 69: The Weight of the Platform

    A platform isn’t a reward. It’s a responsibility.

Whether God has entrusted you with five people or five million, influence comes with weight. Stewarding it well means being willing to let God examine not only what we say publicly, but also our motives, our integrity, and the posture of our hearts.

In this episode of Dear Christian Black Girl, we’re talking about what it means to have clean hands and a pure heart, why greater influence requires greater accountability, and how stewardship sometimes requires us to make uncomfortable decisions.

And friend, this conversation is not about perfection. We are all going to get it wrong sometimes. The question is what happens when correction comes. Are we willing to repent? Are we willing to make it right? Are we willing to let God search our hearts, even when what He shows us is uncomfortable?

Because when God entrusts us with influence, how we carry it matters. 🖤

  • Episode 68: Heavy vs. Weighty

What if the thing you’ve been calling heavy… is actually just weighty? There’s a difference between something that is crushing you and something that carries the weight of responsibility—and learning that difference changed the way I understood what God had given me to carry.DCBG LIVE taught me that the assignment itself wasn’t necessarily heavy. Sometimes, it was everything I added to it: expectations, pressure, fear, and the responsibility I hadn’t yet learned how to carry well.In Episode 68 of Dear Christian Black Girl, we’re talking about the difference between heavy and weighty, how to recognize what God has actually given you to carry, and why feeling the weight of an assignment doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong.Because maybe God isn’t asking you to put the assignment down.

  • Ep 64: Radical Obedience: The Kind of Yes That Costs You | #DCBG

In this episode, we’re talking about what it really means to be radically obedient to God.Not halfway. Not when it’s convenient. Not when it makes sense. But the kind of obedience that costs you something. We’re unpacking the truth that obedience isn’t partial compliance… and it’s definitely not something we can delay until we feel ready. Because the reality is, delayed obedience is still disobedience.Through 1 Samuel 15:22, we’re reminded that God doesn’t just want our sacrifices, our good intentions, or our effort… He wants our obedience. And if we’re honest, that kind of surrender can feel uncomfortable.Because radical obedience will challenge your comfort. It will go against culture. It will stretch you beyond fear.It may even require you to release relationships, timelines, and personal plans you thought were set in stone. But on the other side of that obedience… is alignment, purpose, and the will of God for your life.So the question is… are you willing to obey God, even when it costs you? 🤍If this episode speaks to you, share it with a friend who’s navigating obedience in this season 🖤🎟️ DCBG LIVE EXPERIENCECome hang out with us in person on June 13 in Atlanta! In this episode of Dear Christian Black Girl, we’re having an honest conversation about doubt… and the choice we actually have in it.

Lately, I’ve been in a season where God is not allowing me to hide or shrink when it comes to the baby conversation. And if I’m being real, it hasn’t always been easy. But over the past few weeks, He’s been so intentional—sending the right people at the right time to encourage me, pour into me, and remind me of what He said. The kind of moments that only make sense between me and Him.

We talk about what it looks like to be in that tension… where your reality doesn’t fully match the promise yet.

And we also get into this truth: doubt isn’t something that just happens to us. It’s a choice. And if it’s a choice, that means we don’t have to choose it.

We can choose faith. We can choose to believe what God said.We can choose to declare His promises—even when it feels uncomfortable.

If you’ve been in a season where it’s been easier to doubt than to believe, this conversation is for you.
