This episode we revisit Download Festival 2005. This was Simons first year so we talk about the awe that he was in, we run through the bands that we saw (or probably saw it was a long time ago), Trivium with their monumentous set opening the main stage on Saturday and also how great blueberries are on pizza! We also had a very successful return of campsite fuckery with many many stories!

In this episode we are joined by friend of the pod Dan Cross for a special live christmas special episode. We had a lot of laughs, a lot of alcohol and probably ended up a little bit too drunk by the end. Dan hosted a music/Download festival quiz and we go through our top 5 albums exclusively from bands that have played at Download festival.

This episode we have an in-depth discussion about Spotify and try to work out if Spotify and the general music streaming industry is the good guy or the bad guy? Maybe it's both.

This episode we have a brief chat about our initial thoughts of Download festival 2022 lineup. When the lineup is complete we will have a much more in depth analysis of it. Other things we talk about in this episode are gig posters, gigs that Simon has been to recently and of course more of Adams schemes.

This is part 1 of our Roadrunner records special episode. It is also the start of our deep dive into the music industry in general. We talk about the many legendary bands that have been or are currently signed to Roadrunner Records, a brief history of the record label and some of the most influential albums that have come from it. And of course, it wouldn't be a Dear Download episode if we didn't talk about Raunchy.
