On today’s episode we read a letter to FEAR, a quote by Elizabeth Gilbert we read in an excerpt from the book, Win In The Dark by Joshua Medcalf.

It's not about being fearless, as if there is a complete lack of fear in our lives. It's about acknowledging fear will be a part of your life, especially if you are looking to fulfill your purpose, your destiny and do great things in the world. Fear will be along for the ride. Just make sure its in the back seat and not making decisions.

Dear Fear,

Courage and I are about to go on a road trip together.

I understand you’ll be joining us, because you always do. 

I realize that you believe you have an important job to do in my life and that you take that job seriously.

But I will also be doing my job on this road trip, which is to work hard and stay focused on what I can control. And courage will be doing its job.

There’s plenty of room in this vehicle for all of us, so make yourself at home - in the back seat. 

I recognize and respect that you will always be a part of my journeys.

You’re allowed to have a seat, but above all else, you are absolutely forbidden to drive.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride.
