Psalm 13 is a cry to Lord - "Where are you? How long will you hide?" It expresses pain, confusion, and sorrow. Yet in the end, there is hope. This Psalm is one of many many psalms of lament in the Bible. We invite you to join us as we dive into this Scripture and the idea that lament allows us to authentically release to God and opens a door to receive healing.

On Ash Wednesday, we began our Lenten series - Rooted in Psalms. This week, we're looking at Psalm 25 and how remembering what God did in the past helps us remember Him in our present and trust Him with our future.

Mountaintops are beautiful places to visit. And spiritually speaking, "mountaintop experiences" are those times and places we encounter God in powerful and profound ways. As humans, we are tempted to want to stay there - to build a shelter and never leave. Yet our call is to come down and keep walking, working, & witnessing. This Sunday, we invite you to join us as we look at Mark 9:2-10 and the idea that though we can't stay on the mountain, it equips us for the journey.

Life is a series of choices - things to do, places to go, people to connect with, zoom calls to enter... When we look at the life of Jesus, people flocked toward Him. People who needed healing or freedom or a word of truth. And Jesus met them. But, Jesus also took time to get away, to be with the Father, to pray. This week, we'll be looking at Mark 1:29-39, the rhythms of life Jesus practiced, and the idea that time with God empowers and informs the work He invites us to do.

Jesus invited Levi - the tax collector - to follow Him. Join us as we take a look at Luke 5:27-32, Jesus' call, the response of those around, and what Jesus meant when He said, "It's not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick," and what it means for us.

Mark 1:14-20 tells the story of Jesus calling four fishermen to leave their nets and follow Him. In doing so, Jesus invites them to place their security in Him, to be led by Him, and to learn new ways to put their skills to use. Let's dive into this story and what it means for us!

"Christian" means "little Christs." As Jesus followers, we are invited to follow, be transformed by, and be on mission with Jesus. As we walk with Him, we begin to see with His eyes, hear with His ears, and understand with His heart. Over the next five weeks, we'll be exploring more what it means to follow Jesus. This week, we focus on 1 Samuel 3:1-10 and John 1:43-51 and the idea that God see us and knows us before we see and know Him. He calls and invites us to a life with Him, and gives us the choice to respond.

We start off 2021 together by remembering Epiphany - when the wisemen came to honor Jesus. This story reminds us that recognizing Jesus invites us to respond, and how we choose to respond is significant.
