Not A Nice Little Old Lady
Another winning novella from Craig Saunders, whose writing style I'm very much a fan of. The story grabbed me right from the start and didn't let go until the final page; I hope to read more about Ma Mulrone and her clan.
More good stuff from Saunders!
Unpredictable and bleak is probably the best way to describe this novella from Craig Saunders. The Mulrones are a family with which one does not cross. Unfortunately, when two police officers are involved with the death of a youngster after a car theft, things take a very bloody turn for the worst. It's a great little story that waste no time in dragging you into this dark place. Some scenes were truly shocking. Any book that has the ability to shock is a good one in my eyes. This edition also features the first couple of chapters from Rain. Well written, gritty, dark. Great stuff. 4 stars.
