Unfortunately due to a hard drive crash we lost a few episodes worth of recording. During the interval between Ven and his companions seeking alliances to fight against the dragon impersonating his dead wife and this episode, the party has accomplished several goals and adventures.
They did defeat the dragon of Magnamar and set the crime city on a path of legitimacy. Ven, wanting no part of politics upheld his promise to DeCarlo and withdrew himself from the council, however he was not able to give up on his desire for revenge and sought, located the miserable retch who had held the blade that killed Ven's wife all those years. In spite of this would be killing being little more than a homeless drunk now, Ven could find no mercy in his dark heart for the retch, and so he murdered him, just as he had promised himself so many years before. After all, the contract had to be completed.
The group then joined with a extra-planer group to seek out a corrupted elder-brain and spent several weeks in the Underdark, where they narrowly escaped Zilva's mother and her forces, who while being on their own campaign, would have been more than delighted to turn Zilva over to her. This narrow escape did not come without a price as Zilva was forced to turn over a bit of flesh and blood to her uncle so he could make a clone of Zilva to turn over to her mother. Zilva's fear is what this may mean to her brother when the clone is provided in her stead.
And so, Ven and Zilva talk Zeke into returning home to reclaim his family's rights as nobles in the hopes that they can gather their own forces to strike at Zilva's mother and her army to free her brother before it is too late. In the process the group meets a pugilist named Erika who also happens to be captain her own airship. They join forces with her and head to Zeke's homeland.
Which brings us up to date with Zeke's Homecoming.
We of course apologize for the lost episodes, and hope to one day record a fireside chat episode to discuss the lost adventures.
