Death by Multimedia

Welcome to the third episode of this epic journey in Revisiting The X Files.

Through 11 seasons, two movies and several stand alone novels, these podcast episodes will be a discussion and revisitation of the series from the very beginning, exploring the good and the bad of every episode, and eventually coming to the point where every piece of the X Files puzzle has been set in place.

So please join me over the coming months and, dare I say it, years, as we dive into The X Files.

Today's third episode indulges in a little listener feedback (from more people than I ever expected to actually listen to the episode!) before we explore Episodes 10 to 14 of Season One.

On today's next edition of Josh & Bill Talk Crap, we take on the Jurassic Park movie franchise, by watching all three movies from the original Jurassic Park trilogy and the following Jurassic World trilogy.

We discuss each of the films, talking about plot points, characters, dinosaurs, destinations and correct pronunciation of certain words and place names. We talk about acting performances and the stories of each movie, and in all of these cases, the good, the bad and the ugly.

We also look forward to the new Jurassic film coming to theatres near you soon, one which we had no idea existed when we started this project. At the end we rank all of these films from worst to best, with a surprising result.

On today's episode we look back on the legacy of Gene Hackman, one of the greatest actors of all time, who passed away in recent weeks.

I will be offering you my thoughts and memories of the movies of Gene Hackman, when I first saw them and my thoughts not only on the films themselves, but on Hackman's performances in those roles, and why he was so important in making the films what they were.

So if listening to me waffle on about one of my favourite actors and the films I love him being in is of any interest to you, then press play and let's get moving.

That's the agenda on today's episode of Death By Multimedia, the podcast that never seems to find a way to stop talking about non essential things.

On today's enthralling episode of Josh & Bill Talk Crap, we dive into the horror film genre. From the perspective of Josh and his first horror films as the age of 10, to Bill and his first horror films in high school, we take a look back on the first horror films we saw, and the different ways we found them in our own generation.

From here we take a look at the different varieties of horror film - the original classics that still define the genre, the A rated films that are still great horror classics, and the B grade classics that are so bad they are good, and then the just horrible tinny ideas that still somehow get made.

Then we offer the films that have scared us the most, and the ones that we keep going back to time and again.

That's the agenda for this month on Josh & Bill Talk Crap. A true horror edition of Death by Multimedia.
