  • High Priest Of
We have been considering the "good things" promised. We have examined them in clusters of blessings; beginning with effective substitution, then considering the power for life given us, moving on to comfort for our souls and lastly the stunning promise of our adoption into the family of God. But HOW does Jesus' role as High Priest connect to these good things (and so many others) because the writer here plainly states that He came as High Priest OF the good things to come… So more pointedly, how does His priesthood serve these promises, How does it deliver them and us?! What difference does it make that He has a place as a "priest according to the order of Melchizedek"? How does that priesthood secure these blessings for us? How is Jesus a High Priest OF these good things?

God Overtook Laban 3. Anger Overtook Jacob Our goals are: That you will rejoice God protects you from your enemies so you can complete the work he has called his redeemed children to do.

  • Don’t change the fragrance
Question: what happens when the gospel of God's free grace is faithfully proclaimed? Answer: God spreads the fragrance of Christ: it is pleasing to God, life to those who are being saved, and death to those who are perishing. Therefore, we must never change the fragrance to make it more acceptable to the world, but proclaim Christ, sincerely, in the sight of God

  • Resurrection And Restoration
The sermon explores the theological significance of Jesus' resurrection as recorded in Mark 16, emphasizing that His rising from the dead confirms the completion of redemption and the securing of justification for believers. It highlights how the empty tomb defeats death and establishes Christ's eternal reign, offering hope for the future bodily resurrection of all who belong to Him. The message also focuses on Jesus' specific compassion toward Peter, illustrating that the risen Lord actively restores repentant sinners rather than abandoning them in their failure. This divine restoration serves as a powerful encouragement for believers facing guilt or discouragement, affirming that grace is available to those who are truly broken over their sin. Finally, the preacher warns against presuming upon this grace by continuing in unrepentant sin, urging listeners to examine their hearts and pursue a genuine relationship with Christ.
