There’s a conversation almost nobody has. Not because they don’t think about it — they do, at two in the morning, staring at the ceiling. They don’t have it because saying it out loud makes it real. And once it’s real, you have to actually decide something.

Today we’re having that conversation — the one about final arrangements. Not the mechanics of caskets or cremation. The harder part: how you actually sit down with the people you love — your spouse, your kids, your parents — and talk about what happens when you’re gone. Because silence isn’t protecting anyone. It’s just moving the weight from your shoulders to theirs, at the worst possible moment to carry it.
