In our Nov 23 Sunday gathering we explore how Jesus’ death, resurrection and ascension conquered sin, death and the devil.

Which part of Jesus’ story—his life, death, resurrection, or ascension—have you
personally emphasized most in your own understanding of the faith? Why?
Was there anything in today’s message that surprised you, challenged you, or reframed
something you grew up hearing?
How did you first hear the “why” behind Jesus’ death growing up? Was it encouraging,
confusing, or frightening?
The sermon suggested that love requires consequences and real agency. How does that
idea help (or not help) you understand why sin can’t simply be “magicked away”?
Which atonement images in Scripture (ransom, victory, healing, sacrifice, substitute,
etc.) resonate most with you? Which feel less intuitive?
How do you respond to the idea that Christians agree on what Jesus accomplished, but
not why it required his death? Does this diversity feel freeing or unsettling?
Have you ever heard PSA presented in ways similar to the “cultural version” described
