Every believer faces two kinds of realities. There is the reality we can see with the naked eyes. And there is reality that can only be seen through the eyes of faith. One of rhe greatest battles in the believers life is not always the battle before us. Sometimes it is the battle behind us. Israel had left Egypt physically, but Egypt had not fully left their heart. In Exodus God takes His people out of Egypt but in Leviticus God takes Egypt out of His people.

When the Exodus generation entered the Cloud they found the cloud waiting for them. Amazingly it never left them. The Lord O God is not a man that He should Lie. He never walks away. The earth trembles. The Hod who walk with Adam in Eden is now here. The God who appeared to Moses in the burning bush has no come. The God who travelled in the pillar of cloud and fire now speaks to the nation

The question is," why did God calls Moses unto the mountain. God did not bring them out of Egypt merely to rescue them but: To bring them unto Himself,Salvation is not merely deliverance from something,its deliverance unto Someone. Moses was chosen to lead the nation. In order for Moses to complete the task,the Lord God provides wisdom in order for him to remain strong physically and spiritually. Sometimes Gods protection comes through supernatural intervention and sometimes Gods protection cones through godly wisdom.
