Imagine what would happen if you – just for today – you decided to speak words of affirmation to yourself to remind you that you’re rock star amazing.

It is important that in these hard times that you and I find a bit of encouragement or sanity and in our own way in our own world with the gifts we have been given.

There was a time when the chatter of inspiration was all the rage but with anything that is not based on personal self-determination, perseverance, or will power – success will be hard to find.

Friend if you are on the wrong path, give up now - there is no shame in changing your mind, reviewing your options, or simply saying enough is enough and walk away.

I know so many people who say they can’t go on because of what happened in their past. It seems to be the excuse they cling to.

I think we should learn this lesson from a weed. If you really want something to happen in your life, you need to make a way or you need to find a place where you can grow. It may be in the cracks of your life, but, friend, all you need is a foothold to plant your roots deep enough to sustain the elements.

The problem for so many of us is that we hate to make a decision, and we do that because we think that another opportunity might somehow, very possibly, maybe one day come up that might be better, so we think, “Why close a door, when something else might happen,” and although that sounds good, rarely does it work out that way, and, if it does (by some amazing feat), well, that’s a long time coming and you know it.

I am mystified when I see amazing people who set their life on fire and then partner with those who quench it. Whether its someone who demands you give up your dream for theirs, or someone whose heart desire is to go into ministry, military or missions and everyone says no, or someone find great joy in working a job that does not pay well but fills their life with joy and their friends belittle their position because it is not “impressive enough”.

What I find interesting as a coach and trainer both in the political and corporate world is often I watch my clients from the sidelines. I observe how they “show up in the world” in which they hope to master. Because friends if you are the message – then you and I need to seriously think about the message we are giving to others.
