Welcome to the 10th episode of Debate the Slate. The guys are back on the mic (and on the camera if you are on Facebook) after an absolute BLOODBATH of a weekend. Those assholes in the desert know what they are doing and Dom and Garrett felt that this weekend. The bros talk about the beats that stung a little more than most and get some feels out before they are joined by ESPN's own Adam Amin.
Adam and the guys talk about everything you can imagine about college football from the top teams in the country in Alabama and Clemson, to who should have been more upset this past weekend: Iowa or Kentucky. They talk about Adam's dad putting in windows in Chicago and what Mack Brown's favorite emoji is. Then Dom and Garrett wrap everything up with your newest favorite segment: We Fucked Up.
Buckle up, this is a good one.
It's that time again, time for Debate the Slate live on Facebook. The guys went 7-2 on locks last week and are back for more this week.
Listen as the guys debate over the following games:
CFB
NFL
Plus you get Dom and Garrett's locks, some underdog picks and more.
What a weird weekend of football. Lamar Jackson lost the Heisman, Tennessee Tennessee's themselves and Dom is betting from a plane. The guys talk about all that plus: How good is Mike Gundy, how bad was Thursday Night Football and more.
Then Ian Rapoport from NFL Network stops by to talk about anything and everything. Topics range from breaking Odell Beckham Jr news, what the process is behind breaking stories, what he gets his "sources" for Christmas, the mentality behind working a non-stop job, the stories that he got wrong and how he saved Alabama football.
The guys then debut a new section of the pod called "We Fucked Up".
This is a good one, y'all. Enjoy.
Get ready to hide from your boss, fire up your sportsbook, and cash in some winners with Debate The Slate Live! That’s right, one podcast a week just isn’t enough so we’re going full O’Reilly and doing it live.
Starting today, the Debate The Slate bros will be live on the BroBible Facebook page every Thursday afternoon. Dom and Garrett will break down all the weekend’s action for both college football and the NFL.
This week the boys are giving you winners, including Clemson vs Louisville, USS and Texas, South Carolina and UK, Tennessee and Florida. Then the guys talk NFL and Cinci/Houston, Seattle/San Fransisco, Dallas/Denver, and Tennessee/Jacksonville.
Dom and Garrett give you the locks, parlay, and Dogs of the Week as well. We are handing out money so get ready.
Life is a set of ups and downs my friends and that was never more apparent than it was this weekend. Such highs betting on college sports followed by some bad beats betting on the first full week of the NFL but...such is life.
Garrett and Dom dive into some recaps of the weekend including Garrett breaking Gruden's tailgate rules, Dom forgetting that NFL defenses are better than college defenses and much more.
Then the guys are joined by Jim Weber of College Sports Only and the James and the Giant QB podcast. Jim talks about everything in the current college football landscape including if Harbaugh is on the hot seat for failing to win a Big Ten title, who is on top of the Big Ten after Ohio State's loss, the swagger level of Baker Mayfield, the hair choices of Mike Gundy, if it was really Jim McElwain on the boat with that shark, is Oregon back?, who will win the battle of the ACC, what is the best college football fight song and the guys ended the interview with a rapid fire pick-em of the top 25 games this weekend.
Make sure to stay until the end because there is a BIG Debate the Slate programing announcement at the end.
Strap in for this one because we are going Spider Two Y Banana on ya. Starting off, Garrett and Dom talk about some nice CFB parlay wins (4:05-5:03), and Dom shares his thoughts on how to make money this football season with in-game wagers (5:07-9:59).
Then the boys are joined by Mr. Spider Two himself, Coach Jon Gruden. On this episode of Debate the Slate Dom and Garrett recap a fight that was never really a question in McGregor vs Mayweather, and talk a little bit about some wins from Week Zero of the College football season.
Then the guys are joined by Luke Zimmerman, former College League Manager for SB Nation and current head of editorial for Futhead to give their College Football preview ahead of the REAL start to the season. They discuss some offseason storylines, talk about who will win the Big Ten, dive into the SEC (and kinda drag Georgia a bit), talk a little Heisman Trophy race WAY too early, debate if there is a real contender in the Pac 12 or Big 12, and talk ACC regression as well. Luke gives his College Football Playoff picks as well and it could feature two season rematches.
After that, the guys talk about some week one line action you need to jump on and Garrett gives us his weekly Pope pick. LET'S GO!
The boys are back they have a big announcement to make: From here on out your favorite degen podcast will be brought to you by BroBible!
After we get the business stuff out of the way, Dom and Garrett talk about the Celtics/Cavs trade and what that means for the season win total bets for both teams. Then Eric Rosenthal (@EricSports) joins to talk about the fight of the decade this weekend and break down all the interesting props where YOU can make some money.
Then the guys talk about how excited we all are for football to be back and even give you some lines to take advantage of THIS WEEKEND. Buckle up, it is a fun one.
