Navigating AI's Role in Faith Faith Debate: Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 (08/30/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) The Faith Debate digs into AI from a Christian vantage point. What is this technology at its root? Are fears about it due to faithful discernment, or cultural panic? If Christians disengage from "Artificial Intelligence", who fills the vacuum to train the machines, and shape the values baked into systems influencing billions of people? From the specter of end-times speculation to cultural withdrawal, can the church be let off the hook with easy answers? This isn't a conversation about gadgets, but rather about dominion, discipleship, and how the people of God can best show up where it counts. You're invited to listen, and then decide where you stand. This episode is part two of a five-part conversation (piggybacking on a two-part AI discussion from earlier in the year). To hear the five parts in uninterrupted fashion, go to the Christian Podcast Community and find the Theology Throwdown show dated April 11th, 2026. (1) Israel Watch 8/19/26: The Iran Ceasefire Ends, Israel expands her defensive war back into Syria, Turkey (Togarmah) injects itself, the Democrat Marxist Death Cult continues nominated anti-Israel, antisemites for the November Election even as the "Far Reich" on the right opposes Israel (video clip of P.M. Netanyahu)... We discuss the Mecca Defense Pact and why this does NOT negate the Gog Magog War (Offensive) prophecy. And we discuss the Bikers Across America rally in Dearborn, MI. While we do not endorse Jake Lang (who is anti-Israel), we do give credit where due regarding some of his remarks at the Dearborn City Council meeting Tuesday (the 18th). (2) All Actors Go To Heaven? We discuss the latest example of the Anti-Biblical practice of so many professing believers claiming that actors who gave no profession of faith and whose lives demonstrated a complete rejection of Biblical truth and morality somehow "Rest In Peace" and are "in Heaven" or "with the Angels", etc. This time it is bi-sexual, non-Christian actress Hayden Panettiere. (3) Meira K. Sums Things Up Quite Well regarding the Candace Owens vs. Andrew Wilson debate. (4) Funny Things... Or just Happy Things... • Revelation Before Repentance
The sermon argues that true repentance must follow the revelation of God's glory rather than precede it, using Paul's address to the Athenians as the primary example. It contrasts modern cultural curiosity and philosophical arrogance with the biblical necessity of recognizing human dependence on the Creator. By examining Old Testament accounts of Job and Isaiah, the text demonstrates that encountering the holiness of God is what ultimately leads to genuine conviction and repentance. The message emphasizes that a correct understanding of God's sovereignty and majesty provides the necessary context for the gospel to have transformative power. Consequently, evangelism should prioritize exalting God's nature over immediate demands for moral reform or intellectual debate.

  • 26-08-16 Theological Discourse on AI
Theological Discourse on AI Faith Debate: Sunday, August 16th, 2026 (08/23/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) "Artificial Intelligence" has real consequences; should Christians build it, boycott it, or redeem it? A.I. is no longer a science fiction premise; it's sadly writing sermons, answering theological questions, and shaping the worldview of millions. In light of these realities, is the church largely having the wrong conversations about it? Some Christians marvel at the possibilities, while others sound an apocalyptic alarm. The Faith Debate now helps ask and answer the question that matters most: What is our responsibility before God in this moment? This episode is part one of a five-part conversation (piggybacking on a two-part AI discussion from earlier in the year). • From Ancient Manuscripts to Modern Bibles
The sermon addresses the trustworthiness of biblical manuscripts by examining textual transmission and variant readings. It refutes skeptical claims, such as those by Bart Ehrman, by highlighting the abundance of ancient evidence and the minor nature of textual discrepancies. The speaker explains doctrines like verbal plenary inspiration and distinguishes between different Greek text families, including the Textus Receptus and eclectic texts. While acknowledging debates over specific translations like the King James Version, the message emphasizes that no essential doctrine depends on disputed readings. Ultimately, it affirms confidence in God's faithful preservation of His Word for believers today.

  • Fearless Living in a Hostile World
In this sermon from 1 Peter 3, Dylan Joyner explains how Christians should faithfully engage a world that is hostile toward Christ and His people. Scripture does not call believers to attack the culture with worldly weapons, nor does it call them to withdraw from the world entirely. Instead, Christians are called to stand confidently in the midst of opposition, trusting Christ and refusing to fear man. Peter gives two central commands: fear no one and honor Christ the Lord as holy. Although believers may experience persecution and suffering for righteousness' sake, nothing can ultimately harm those who are secure in Christ. Even suffering becomes an occasion for blessing, giving Christians every reason to live with confidence and joy rather than fear. The sermon also emphasizes Peter's command to always be prepared to give a defense for the hope within us. Biblical apologetics is not reserved for pastors, scholars, or professional debaters. Every Christian is called to know what he believes, understand why he believes it from Scripture, and be prepared to explain the gospel when opportunities arise. How Christians defend the faith matters as much as being prepared to defend it. Peter commands believers to speak with gentleness and respect, maintaining a good conscience even when they are slandered. Through the righteousness of Christ, believers can fear no man, endure suffering faithfully, proclaim the gospel boldly, and engage the unbelieving world with confidence and joy.
