As has been stated, the Shechinah Glory is the visible manifestation of the presence of God. In the Tenach, most of these visible manifestations took the form of light, fire, cloud, or a combination of these. A new form appears in the New Testament: the Incarnate Word. At times it is closely associated with one or more of four elements: first, the Angel of YHVH/Yahweh; secondly, the Holy Spirit; thirdly, the cherubim; and fourthly, the motif of thick darkness.
This study of the Shechinah Glory can be divided into three units. First, the Shechinah Glory in Tenach history; secondly, the Shechinah Glory in New Testament history; and thirdly, the Shechinah Glory in prophecy.
