You would not be a Christian fundamentalist cult member for believing that Isaiah actually existed. And not necessarily so for believing in the prophetic ability of the biblical character. But the fundamentalist apologetics are adamant that one of the main proofs for the coming of Jesus, his miracles and his resurrection, lies in Isaiah's prophecies fulfilled. So let's look at three of Isaiah's initial prophecies about the Immanuel. And if they were truly fulfilled 800 years after prediction.

We all are aware of the Lee Strobel book, THE CASE FOR CHRIST. He states the evidence was so convincing of the resurrection of Christ based on his interviews with scholars that he converted to Evangelical Christianity from atheism. Well, let's fact check the claims of his first interview from Dr. Craig Blomberg and see if that "evidence" is really convincing at all or do we suspect that Blomberg is guilty of biased fabrication to prove his Christian fundamentalism as well.

I am asked all the time especially by Christian fundamentalists: what proof do I need to believe in Jesus Christ and what evidence for Christ's resurrection would be sufficient for me? There are three things that would make me reconvert and I only need one of them.

 The Christian apologetic many times lies or at least manipulates partial truths. But why do I care what Evangelical or other Christian fundamentalists do or what they tell each other? Because when churches proclaim lies to be truths it gets in my way as well and I'll explain why.

The easiest way to debunk the Christian fundamentalist or Evangelical cult member is to disprove the Bible by showing there is no evidence the  characters in the Bible ever existed. But what if a few actually did? I'm a fair guy seeking only truth and it seems there is more than probable evidence that Isaiah actually lived. But does that mean that Isaiah was a prophet who foretold accurate prophecy of Christ's coming as well as his resurrection? Not so fast. Let's see what we actually have in terms of Isaiah's legitimacy as a real person first.
