I am asked all the time especially by Christian fundamentalists: what proof do I need to believe in Jesus Christ and what evidence for Christ's resurrection would be sufficient for me? There are three things that would make me reconvert and I only need one of them.

 The Christian apologetic many times lies or at least manipulates partial truths. But why do I care what Evangelical or other Christian fundamentalists do or what they tell each other? Because when churches proclaim lies to be truths it gets in my way as well and I'll explain why.

The easiest way to debunk the Christian fundamentalist or Evangelical cult member is to disprove the Bible by showing there is no evidence the  characters in the Bible ever existed. But what if a few actually did? I'm a fair guy seeking only truth and it seems there is more than probable evidence that Isaiah actually lived. But does that mean that Isaiah was a prophet who foretold accurate prophecy of Christ's coming as well as his resurrection? Not so fast. Strobel claims that he was an atheist. I am stating that I don't think Lee Strobel was an atheist at all when he conducted his interviews for his popular book, THE CASE FOR CHRIST.  Lee uses an analogy from an old wrongful charge on a career criminal to show how one must be willing to be objective. However, as you will see, he fails to follow his own pointed methods that he advises in this introductory chapter. Because that is what Evangelists and other Christian fundamentalists do. They don't study the facts, they attempt to twist them to fit their own worldview.

The story of Genesis creation in the Bible simply isn't true. But a member in the Christian or Evangelical cult thinks it is--word for literal word. But what if the words in Genesis really don't translate to what the fundamentalist thinks they do? It isn't really even a matter of disproving the Bible in this case. It's a matter of studying the Hebrew text and an inconvenient truth will emerge when fact checking the Bible for the literal meaning of words the fundamentalist claims to follow.

 I have heard in the past from Christians, especially fundamentalist apologists, state that the evidence of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is that the story has survived so long and wouldn't have if it wasn't true. Well, here is another example of a "miracle" that almost became an urban legend as well where you can see easily how Christians can fall prey to believe in miracles that aren't supernatural events at all.
