The Black Saint is known for being very public about his negative opinion about looking forward to seeing this film. Imagine the Grue-crew's surprise when he reveals he enjoyed the latest chapter in the Insidious franchise, INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3. The story may be about the new family (Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott) and their supernatural encounters, but the film belongs to Lin Shaye's Elise. Scary with new threats without leaving familiar haunted faces behind, the film offers scares and shocks that offer a fun Summer horror film.

Ted Geoghegan's first full-length horror feature, WE ARE STILL HERE, is garnering rave reviews online and in film festivals - and new fans. The gory haunted house feature continues to get high praises from the HNR Grue-crew - well, most of them anyway. Uh. Oh. The biggest shock is the amount of blood shed throughout the film. It is great to see Barbara Crampton in another horror film along with familiar faces Larry Fassenden and Monte Markham.

Horror News Radio is teaming up with Arc Entertainment to provide a DVD giveaway of their film PRIVATE NUMBER featuring Judd Nelson, Tom Sizemore, Hal Ozsan & Nicholle Tom. The winners are Bill Norris and Jeff Mohr.

The production team behind the latest efforts to film Stephen King's The Stand are looking to do an 8 episode Showtime series followed by a feature film. Scream Factory is preparing a Larry Fassenden collection featuring his films No Telling, Habit, Wendigo and The Last Winter. MTV has released a trailer for their television series of Scream revealing the new look for the Ghostface killer. Uwe Boll rattles the internet attacking horror fans for not supporting his latest crowd funding efforts. Yup.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson stars in this year's apokalyptic CGI-laden disaster film, SAN ANDREAS from director Brad Peyton and writer Carlton Cuse. Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Paul Giamatti, Ioan Gruffudd, Hugo Johnstone-Burt and Art Parkinson support the special effects and the Rock as Super-Dad. The film is stupid in so many ways but manages to be awesome regardless of the most insane destruction and impossible feats of heroism...ever. The Black Saint proclaims The Rock is a god.

Dave dishes a new plate of HORROR NEWS OF THE WEEK with the sad news about the passing of Betsy Palmer, the possible casting of Dwayne Johnson as Jack Burton and the retirement of legendary make-up artist Rick Baker. When the earth shakes rattling San Francisco in San Andreas, they will feel it on the East Coast. Or so warns Paul Giamatti. The amount of destruction and implausible effects and disaster is exhausting eye candy. The Rock manages to squeeze out a tear or two as he fights to save his daughter, Alexandria Daddario, from a building sinking into tsunami soaked streets. The grue-crew all realize that the movie is preposterous but cannot deny the film's appeal and entertainment value. The film is fun.

The Rock remains in the news with the announcement that he is in negotiations to produce and star in the remake of Big Trouble in Little China. Blumhouse steps in to wrangle control of Eli Roth's The Green Inferno announcing the film's release...finally. "Anti-shark cage. You go inside the cage? Cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark." - Quint to Hooper in JAWS (1975). Steven Spielberg's classic Universal horror film is considered one of Hollywood's finest achievements in terror. The cast is phenomenal, a trio of actors that will never be equaled: Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss. The Black Saint and Doc Rotten tackle another groovy horror film from the 1970s.

Just to make sure the shark does not swim up and bite us in the ass, we have a very special guest-host joining us to discuss seeing JAWS for the first time back in 1975, the extraordinary and prolific actor Bill Oberst, Jr.

There is a creature alive today that has survived millions of years of evolution without change, without passion and without logic. It lives to kill; a mindless eating machine. It will attack and devour anything. It is as if God created the Devil and gave him… Jaws.

Thomas and Dave chime in with a review of Brad Bird's Tomorrowland. Dave shares the Horror News of the Week with news of that director Cary Fukunaga exits the latest attempt to translate Stephen Kings's It to cinema. George Romero is poised to take his comic Empire of the Dead to TV. Michael Rooker joins the James Gunn produced and written horror film The Belko Experiment. The trailer for Cooties is finally here.
