Hosea 13:1–14:9
- Hosea 13:1-16: Ephraim’s pride and idolatry bring death; God pronounces total judgment yet hints at future redemption from Sheol and Death (13:14).
- Hosea 14:1-9: Tender call to repent; God promises to heal, love freely, and make Israel flourish like lily, olive, and vintage wine.
Psalm 140:1–5 - David pleads for rescue from violent, evil men who plot harm and speak poison. - Confident God upholds the righteous and protects the poor against the wicked.
Proverbs 29:23 - Pride brings a person low; the humble in spirit gain honor.
Revelation 1:1–20 - John receives the unveiled vision of the risen Christ for the churches; Jesus is the sovereign Living One who died and is alive forever. - Glorified Jesus—eyes of fire, voice like waters, face like the sun—touches terrified John and declares: “Fear not…I hold the keys of Death and Hades.”
