For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

You and I are called to imitate Christ by refusing to fall in love with this world. . .by refusing to serve anything in this world.

The lure of this world is strong. You and I need deep roots in Christ to withstand Satan’s tantalizing bait that he uses on his numerous fishing expeditions for our soul.

Satan’s goal is to convince us to compromise our faith which he knows will lead to further compromise.

We are admonished not to love the things of this world or we will lose everything.
