The latest film by David Lowery, an Arthurian myth placated in the dusty and grey fields and skies of possibly Scotland, "The Green Knight" stands up to the challenge of becoming the next A24 Oscar contender.  A strong outing by Dev Patel anchored with solid performances from Alicia Vikander and Sean Harris gives the film a rich texture and beautiful meditative expressions that are steeped with both Lowerian nuance and Medieval style. For the return of Season 2, we look at a film that is equally mesmerizing in both auteur brilliance and monumental character performance. Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" exceeded and surpassed all audiences' expectations for a modern superhero film; coupled with Heath Ledger's fatal but legendary performance as the centerpiece of a dynamic and riveting crime thriller. While this film is glorified and touted immensely by the 18-29 male demographic, it remains the case as it stands the test of time in both freshness and substance 13 years after the fact.
