Nowadays, the world is literally built for distraction, not direction. There is a concerted effort to catch your attention from all sides. Of course, there’s not just social media, but people advertise everywhere for the latest styles and ideas. I haven’t seen too many billboards about Kṛṣṇa.

Most people start strong but quit early; and it’s not from a lack of talent, but a lack of systems to stay determined. My contention is that our determination outperforms skill, luck, and motivation in the long run.

Just to give you a definition of determination—which you might find helpful and interesting—is that 'determination' has the word terminus in it, which means an ending point. In one sense, it means to be able to finish something. Finish what you start. Have you ever gotten halfway through a book and then left it behind, and then noticed a year later it's still there?
