We should thank God for the display of His grace in others. Do you praise Him for the gifts He’s given to others? Do you encourage others toward more fruitfulness according to the way God has designed them? And do you use your gifts for their edification? We need one another and we function best only when the various parts are complementing the whole. This is what is intended for the body of Christ!

Compare the length of your trial with the length of eternal bliss that lies before you. Surround yourself with other Christians who have walked a similar path and can point you to these same realities. Then you will hope in God; then you will be led to praise Him!

As I gained an understanding of the Scriptures, I began to see the importance of what Christ prays to the Father. It is absolutely necessary for me to know the word of God so that I can live a life characterized by holiness. The power of the word is not just to convert people to have life eternal, but also to make them have a life of holiness. Let us be diligent students of the word, so that our lives can be totally set apart to our God.

Not only do uncomfortable circumstances come up in our lives, and not only are there people that are difficult to deal with, but one of the greatest obstacles we face each day is the world trying to press and conform us into its mold. This battle is constant throughout our day. But it is a battle worth fighting through resistance and renewal.

What do you complain most about? Are you willing, instead, to give God honor and thank Him even in the midst of it, trusting in His gracious salvation and sovereign plan? Remember: complaining is never God’s will, but giving thanks in everything most certainly is!

In the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, we find a principle and a simple commandment: Forgive the repentant believer. Therefore, forgiveness is not one option among many; forgiveness does not depend on your mood, or on the gravity of the offense. The problem that makes forgiveness hard is that it is a volitional action that clashes with our sinful human nature. But we must forgive our repentant brother in the faith because it is God Himself who demands it from us.

Instead of relying on God’s revelation, we rely on ourselves. Even when we try to do good, ministering to others and serving God, we often lean on our understanding. The heart of our problem is the problem of our heart.

Let your life be a shining light of Jesus Christ to all people. Go out and declare the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is truly man and truly God, and who alone is able to save sinners. Live a life that is worshiping and glorifying Him alone, because He alone is worthy of all our praise, here on earth and soon for all eternity.

Imagine how a repentant criminal would live his life if he were forgiven in a court when he should have been punished for his evil deeds. In like manner, how ought a Christian live when the debt of his sin has been cancelled? Live in thankfulness, rejoice in your salvation, forgive as you have been forgiven, and preach the gospel to those who are still in need of cancelled debt.
