To know this let’s see the concept of Soul. Every religion as well as spiritual tradition talks about this eternal, infinite presence that’s us and named it “soul”.
The concept seems easy when you understand it intellectually, an abstract concept. But are we merely connect? We’re not and so when you try understand this idea of us being the Soul and energy being, no amount of logic can help you understand you.
In my idea our concept is complex, but when we seek our true nature it becomes easy to understand what we are. Will elaborate this in another session, but let’s see if Soul as an energy being ages or no?
In Vedas, there’s this concept of “Parabhramha” the supreme Godhead who created every thing and within whom there are these 3 superpowers of Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva known also as the TRINITY, meaning simply God the creator, God the provide and God-the destroyer. It’s in the same parallel concept in the 7 Rays of Theosophy the first 3 rays define the trinity, superconciosusness. And this Trinity, now creates the whole Cosmos and every being.
So with the trinity, the 3 “Gods” having the power of the supreme head, are still God with their own “personality” but also they are the Supreme Godhead, but not so because to be the Parabhrahma again they have to come in union with each other. In the fashion of “as within, so without” of Hermes Trigmetus “The Kybalion”, with the fact just stated is the truth of us, as Souls. The Parabhrahma for each individual on the level of cosmic hierarchy is what Emerson called the “OverSoul”, whom we know as the “Guardian Angel”, “the Higher-Self”, and from. Them their aspects are poured in different frames we know as Souls, us without the veneer of physical body. Which is why each Soul has all these 3 qualities of being a creator+provide+destroyer in varied degrees.
If we know this truth then without a shred of doubt we’re eternal, but now our consciousness is so entwined with the current reality that we forget all other and our personality of whatever names and gender we have adopted becomes our identity. You will say it’s a false identity and I say yes, it is.
So, going through this fact we are eternal, so why the concept of ageing? Why the idea of old and new souls?
This concept or the idea isn’t about “ageing” as we know it, but its about the levels of consciousness we have mastered. As I’ve said again & again, as there’s no time so there’s no age as we know it in our World. And it is true to both our presence in the body and as us an energy being.
Being an Old Soul simply means that we’ve taken each birth on this plane however many they may be as a way to release the karmic load and create better ones’ while developing more wisdom than we already have. While the New Souls they are not attuned to wisdom, nor they are interested in the karmic patterns let alone releasing and healing.
