Our most recent podcast guest, Andrew Chapman, CEO of the Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) leaves no platitude or cliche stone unturned in this frank and insightful conversation. David explained the work Zone Planning are involved in and shared his insights onthe Gold Coast dwelling supply including the shrinking availability of land for residential development, shortage of greenfield housing land and the issue with undevelopable zoned land. Deconstruction is back with a new "Surfs Up" series focused on the Gold Coast construction industry. In January 2024, Helix expanded its presence in Queensland by opening a Gold Coast office lead by Director, Jonathan Miliszewski (affectionately referred to as "Jono" by the Helix humans). Michael and Emily are joined by Jackson Hills, Manager of Policy and Strategic Engagement at QShelter. Jackson is a tireless advocate for advancing policy based solutions addressing social and affordable housing needs and homelessness in Queensland.
