Deedlecast

Welcome to the country. Deedlecast country. All the sophistication and technology of the city, with the simplicity, comfort, and relaxed pace of the country. It's the digital age with that old country style hickory smoked flavor you love.

It's time to warm up your chilly winter with a nice hot serving of Disco Stew. This first Deedlecast of 2013 is designed to warm you up and get your blood pumping. It's got a tantilizingly complex flavor, reminiscent of those tastes you loved from the 70s, served 21st Century style.

2012 was a boisterous, turbulent, and volitile year. Consequently, as we bid farewell to 2012, we shouldn't expect it to go quietly. DJDeedle's put together a fitting bon voyage, a bash appropriate for the boom and bust that was 2012. We've survived yet another year when the world was supposed to end. Let's celebrate.

O zephyr winds, which blow on high, lift me now, so I can fly! It's time to get your head in the clouds. You wouldn't believe what's up there. It's not all fun and games, though. All kinds of storms start in the clouds.

The holidays are here again, and this week DJDeedle has a gift for you wrapped in holiday cheer. Guaranteed to jingle your bells, this week's Deedlecast is just the dose of fun your season needs to make your days "Merry & Bright."

The Deedlecast holiday special has become a tradition these past 7 years. Let's take a ride with the ghost of Xmas past:

2011 - Jingle Mingle

2010 - The Glitch that Stole X-mas

2009 - Now Sound of Xmas

2008 - Xmas Frame of Mind

2007 - Holly Jolly Syndicate

2006 - Holiday Fruitcake

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but music has that beat by an order of magnitude. This week's "Communiqué" from DJDeedle transmits some heavy messages from long lost friends, perfect strangers, and everything in between. The message is the music, and the music is the message. Get it?

Whether we like it or not, the digital age has turned all our media into one. Radio, television, print, the Internet. It's all converged on the same spot. When it comes to music, however, in our hearts radio still rules. Radio, someone still loves you.

What makes your jukebox pop?! This week, DJDeedle's put fist full of dimes in the old machine and mixed you up some serious sounds. Stand back. The jukebox is about to explode!

How do you chase those autumn blues away? DJDeedle prescribes 80s music, and lots of it! But, of course, this time around those oldies have been given a 21st century twist - Deedlecast style. You've got the classic Cher, Cindy Lauper, Whitney, Madonna, Huey Lewis, INXS, B-52s, Phil Collins, Boy George, Michael Jackson, etc. tunes you crave, but tossed together in a zesty salad of new and nostalgic sounds. Dig in, we've got plenty.

Ocean Drive, that iconic avenue of the South Beach scene, comes alive in your ears this week on Deedlecast. What makes South Beach and Miami such amazing places is not just the dazzling confluence of people, languages, cultures, and styles from all over the world, but also the incredible music, exotic rhythms, and and wild tempos. Picture yourself on a sultry night under the neon lights on Ocean Drive, the siren beat calling you to the party.
