God calls Abram to a new land. He promises to give the land to Abram and his descendents. But Abraham doesn't have any children. If God said it, will it happen?

In Genesis chapter 11, people all spoke the same language. They start building a city and a tower that will reach into the sky. God changed that plan. Now we know why people speak different languages. 

From Genesis 6, 7 and 8, comes the story of Noah's ark. The earth was filled with violence and God's heart was aching. He decided to destroy the evil on the earth with a big flood. He told Noah and his family to build an ark so they would be safe. Noah made the ark big enough for lots of animals. When the flood was over, God promised to never flood the earth again. The rainbow in the sky reminds us of God's promise. 

From Genesis chapter 4, we hear the story of Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve's children. When they grew up, they give offerings to God.  God respected Abel and his offering, but God didn't respect Cain's. Cain got so angry, he let sin get control of him. He killed his brother.  God had to punish Cain. Cain had to leave his home and go away from the Presence of God. 

Eve eats the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. She gives some to Adam. Now their eyes are opened. They see that they are naked, and they hide from God. God finds them, and tells them bad news. They have to leave the garden and experience the consequences of their disobedience. 

Adam and Eve are placed in the Garden of Eden. There is so much to enjoy! There is only one tree that is off-limits, the tree of the knowlege of good and evil. God tells Adam if they eat from it, they will die. There are plenty of other trees to eat from, so it looks like they will be safe.  But along comes a clever snake. He tries to trick Eve into eating the forbidden fruit. Will she fall for it?

In Genesis chapter two, we hear the story of God forming man from the dust of the ground.  God breathed into him, to give him life. Adam gets to name all the animals. Then God makes Eve and brings her to Adam.
