Jeffrey and Dave give you the first episode in our Fast and Furious Fridays series.
In this podcast we tackle a very timely subject, the first 2 episodes of WandaVision.
On this episode our intrepid hosts first tackle the topic of the Apple/Epic lawsuit and exactly what that means with respect to both the Apple and Android app stores. Then they will have some self reflection about Collections and collecting in general. It seems that both of our heroes suffer from that affliction.
In this episode Dave delivers his hot takes where he questions: micro transactions, what the streaming cost of Mulan means for the future of movie theaters and the future of entertainment (theme parks, movie theaters, streaming shows filming). In the big segment this week Jeffrey and Dave discuss all of the streaming services, their exclusive content, and their cost.
In episode 3 our intrepid heroes are unsuccessful try as they may they can't help but spoil the newly dropped episodes of The Umbrella Academy. Needless to say if you have trouble with or do not want to hear any TUA spoilers you will want to skip the first 40 minutes. After that they are able to make a transition to discussing what their favorite movie plot twists. Hopefully this episode will leave you thinking about your favorite movie plot twists that weren't mentioned.
In the second installment of DCO we drill down on several topics including Dave's guilt over making this girl cry in college, what's so terrible and great about Netflix's Warrior Nun and why Dave follows so many entertainment rumor peddlers on YouTube. We also have a rousing discussion about what makes a great movie/TV/book property and what makes them oh so terrible.
This is the first ever episode of Deep Cuts Only or DCO as it will come to be known where we deep dive into the nerdiest hobbies, movies and pop culture to make you feel like the coolest nerd in your high school graduating class.
