As she enters the slipstream of postdivorce romance and is befriended by the town queen bee, Dana finds that the tension between being true to yourself and being liked doesnt end in middle schooland that sometimes it takes a real friend to help you embrace adulthood in all its flawed complexity.
Critic Reviews:
Enormously readable and hugely relatable! (Kelly Corrigan, New York Times best-selling author of The Middle Place)
Engrossing, touching, and immensely satisfying. The truth shines on every page. Id almost be willing to go back to junior high if I could sit at Juliette Fays lunch table! (Beth Harbison, New York Times best-selling author)
When I wasnt inside the world of this bookbecause this is a book that you enter instead of merely readI longed to be. I love it for its intensely human characters and for the way the author grants them their flaws as generously as she celebrates their daily decencies, their persistent hopefulness, their moments of personal grace. (Marisa de los Santos, New York Times best-selling author of Love Walked In)

Enjoyable story and characters, felt true to life
Would you listen to Deep Down True again? Why?
I would. I read this book at the same time as I was listening to
Erik Larson's "In the Garden of Beasts" and it was a breath of fresh air.
The characters are all engaging and portrayed realistically. The story is neither
sad nor happy, but felt real. Tha narrator was terrific.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked most of the characters in the story.
What does Robynn Rodriguez bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
She has a lovely voice with a certain joyous quality. I really enjoyed listening to her.
Loved it!
So enjoyed listening to this story. Will find more books on audible by Juliette Fay.
This book surprised me
I really enjoyed how relatable the characters are. I thought it was a bit slow in the beginning but it lulls you in and keeps you entertained until the end.
